Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

Position Overview
Neuro Rehab Collaborative is seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to support clients with neurologic conditions. The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving daily function and delivering client-centered care in both home and clinic settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist occupational therapists in implementing individualized treatment plans.

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to improve independence in daily activities.

  • Document treatment sessions and client progress accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Communicate effectively with the supervising OT and other team members.

  • Modify treatment approaches based on client needs and environmental context.

  • Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic activities to support ongoing progress.

  • Ensure the treatment environment is safe, clean, and well-organized.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.

  • Licensed or certified Occupational Therapy Assistant in Virginia.

  • Experience working with neurologic populations (e.g., stroke, TBI, Parkinson’s disease, MS).

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and manage a flexible caseload.

  • Commitment to client-centered, high-quality care.
